At every fork,
A candid question,
Two answers.

One leading away,
One leading to,
But only one in the end.

After one life,
Many, one answers,
Destination deviates.

Where am I?
Who am I?
Why am I?

New questions,
No answers,
Just Doubting...

Confined - I

Gagged and bound,
not worthy of water,
six feet underground.

Not in death,
buried in life,
grasping for breath.

Trying hard, still,
hoping for escape,
before the final kill.

Ceasing all motion,
praying for rescue,
complete inaction.

Lying in wait,
air thinning out,
Is this my fate....

Fragments - II

Walking through the park,
Cold winds my plight,
Stopping for sunlight.

Doing my homework,
Thinking who was right,
yet enjoying the fight.

Standing on the roof,
darkness in spite,
lost in thought, all night.

At the diner,
My hands despite,
the fork on the right.

Cheering my team,
with all my might,
defeat in sight.

At the funeral,
Flames, red, bright,
A tear, down my right.

In the tube,
Up, to alight,
To a standers delight.

The Heart and Mind

An Open door,
Strangers near,
I have no doubt,
I have no fear.

Windows closed,
I cannot see,
Doubt and fear,
killing me.

Doors Closed,
All alone,
’have no doubt,
’haven’t grown.

Windows Open,
Seeing unseen,
A view to kill,
yet not free.

An open heart,
An open mind,
A gift for you,
A gift for me.

A Heart to love,
A mind to see,
And a life,
Forever free.

I like to write,
but for a reason.

I like to speak,
to express emotion.

I prefer silence,
to celebration.

I prefer solitude,
to noisy congregations.

I hate to lie,
but I am weak.

I hate being wrong,
but can't help it.

I love to travel,
because I see.

I love to live,
because I'm me.

I believe in the right, but who defines right?
I believe in helping others, but why doesn't anyone else?
I believe in saving lives, but what about those who kill my friends?

My conscience.
You need to look.
No one deserves to die.

That I be,
a mystery,

whence I come,
known to none,

What the future holds,
Mist untold.

For I am involved in mankind.
Therefore, send not to know
For whom the bell tolls,
It tolls for thee." -- John Donne

Fragments - I

Observing without,
some fragments within,
Speaking aloud,
an innocuous sin.

Through the window,
A mother and child,
rather young, widow,
she looked and smiled.

Sorrow rife,
On her face,
In her hands, her life,
Yet an empty space.

Across the Street,
A friendly row,
As friends meet,
A little show.

Down the road,
Inside the church,
truth being told,
to those in search.

An awkward moment,
An unsaid truce,
Staying together,
Freedom! profuse.

An awkward moment,
A word of care,
Being together,
Freedom! rare…

A room, closed,
In pain, writhing,
All alone,
Freedom! nothing.

A room, closed,
Fragments, unwelcome,
Yet not alone,
Freedom! Freedom!

Doing what you love – Freedom.”

The Right Hope

Hoping beyond hope,
wishing for victory,
I languished,
all was against me,

Now faithless, I fell,
into bottomless despair,
clouded by anger,sorrow,
in need of much repair,

as this text unfolded,
retrospection complete,
perhaps I didn't wish victory,
perhaps I wished defeat.

"Felipe, I'm sad for you" - YT

A Human Aspiration

Simple transgressions reveal,
if you are pure or if you are not,
Unseen actions can unveil,
if you are naive and are besot.

Fickle ideas can impress,
if you are timid and are not bold,
Uncertain winds can aggress,
if you refrain from the fold.

Inane visions can inspire,
if you can see, beyond the wall,
Placid voices will retire,
if you can think, and do not fall.

I want to see,
only how far I go,
and still be me,
I want to know
only what I can do,
against the flow,
I want to be,
only till death, but,
not, only be.

I want to run,
Just look in front,
and be the one,
I want to fly,
just spread my wings,
and soar up high,
I want to live,
Just close my eyes, but,
not, just live.

In every heart on God's Green Earth,
there burns a silent fire,
there's no exception to this rule,
Its just Human to Aspire.

“Don’t limit a child to your own learning
For he was born in another time” – Tagore

A torrent of desire, warm as coal on fire,
like blood, ablaze, flowing through,
only the red silhouette on the black night.
Silent, but not still, finding its niche but not settling,
being forced to flow,
flow past its place and into the mighty blue,
wherein it may finally find solace,
if not as what it wanted,
yet, as what it knew it would be,
devoid of power and grace,
dull, insipid,
an obituary to its existence.

Let not their fears be your own, whoever they may be” – YT

A Silent Farewell

I walked with you,
Along this silent stream,
on; towards a future,
of uncertain dreams.

Now that we must part,
Let not sorrow seep,
Into this sacred flow,
Of the life and dreams we keep.

To make this journey sweet,
Let us not let go,
Of these memories past,
that only you and I will know.

Tis just a final message,
To my angel dove,
Just one silent farewell,
To the one I love.
